ChrisGurney.ca is the personal weblog of Chris Gurney, a software productization specialist located in Toronto, Canada.
I created PresentationCamp Toronto, am a founding member of ProductCamp Toronto, maintain ProductCamp.org, tweet about Toronto tech events at @techTO, and have done a little bit of writing for blogTO.
Check out my creative portfolio, and my LinkedIn profile.
Professionally, I've worked in positions in software product training, product management, technical sales, development, and quality assurance. Over this period I like to think that I developed a good sense of how to effectively translate customer needs into great product ideas.
I guess I've become a bridge builder, as one person put it.
The deal with the blog is to talk about those things that I find interesting at this point in time, namely product management, product design, and productivity.
In general, I'm interested in the process of taking technology products from concept to consumer, based on methodologies such as the Pragmatic Marketing Framework. As a practitioner and teacher of Getting Things Done, I also enjoy talking about productivity and organization.
Those who know me are aware that I also seem to have a strange fascination with chickens, so one or two may pop up from time to time. For that, I apologize.
